The Coker slicks look too much like snow tires in the way that the grooves are too close to the sidewall. There are other companies that sell them as re-caps but the casing sometimes reads BF Goodrich or whatever the original tire was. The best ones are the ones Radir Wheels sells directly through their web site. They are made by Mickey Thompson solely for Radir and they are entirely new tires and look fantastic. These are what I bought for my '55 after lots of shopping around. As far as hooking up, I don't know yet but I do plan on putting them through Hell very soon.

Thnks for the picture. They do look nice. What period of time wld these tires be reasonable for, or how long did folks put these on their cars i.e. mid 60's, late 60's, etc?

Here's the link to Radir Wheel Dragster Slicks

I would never put those slicks on anything past a 63/64 model. They look best on late 50's/early 60's style street rods. Rader wheels nothing past 65.

Whitetop is pretty accurate in his cutoff dates. I would never put "piecrust" slicks on any thing newer than 1965. Period wrong. The Radir wheels have always looked best on early sixities cars and anything after that, just looks wrong.

I think 66 for the wheels...I remember 66 GTO , Chevelle with Raders...still looked good...especially on Pontiac

This car was at a show this past weekend in NJ. It is very high. As it was driving up the row....I thought it was a 4X4!!!!
