Default 1967 Camaro console ?

A friend of mine restored a 1967 SS 396 4-speed Camaro years ago. He ended up selling the car when the family grew. But the extra console that came with the car when he bought it, is still in his garage.
I have been trying to find out what the application for this console was, but I´m not sure.
Anyone ?

looks like a 67 allright with the factory clock mounting holes..some nim wit added the neato wood sticker on the shifter insert, peal that off, shoot it semi black, find a clock on ebay and your set...also check the mounting holes in the glove box and under the ash tray...

Bud.

Bud, other consoles I have seen have the shifter in the middle of the insert, not to the left like this one. Why ?

if you grab a Camaro numbers book it will show the 4spd insert is off to the left to help get the shifter over in a cumfy location in Camaros, only ones in the center are autos and it is so small there is no way the shifter would work anyway..I would post some pics, but had a little snafu with my pc a few weeks ago and lost years of very valuable photos..still sick over that one, another if you have cool stuff saved in your machine grab a couple discs and save it all. wwwwwaaaaahhhhhhh
