The rolled edge tips were on all the early '69 BB Chevelles, I believe. Anyone have info on the approx. date of the switch to the "regular" tips?

Chambered exhaust was available on any BB Chevelle for 1969 just as long as it was ordered...the most being on L78, L89... 4 speeds.

Wilma the Rolled Tips are rare and hard to find....$$$.

I believe it was phased out between March and April 1969 depending on the plant due to rust issues with the rolled tips. The new 2nd design 1970 tip came without a rolled lip or a stamped in part number. The part number was added some time in late 1971 if I recall correctly.

A friend of mine (who eventually married my cousin) had an early build '69 L-34 car with Chambered exhaust and rolled tips. That's the car that made me change the exhaust on my '68 Chevelle. system.
