Can someone please tell me which carb was used on 68 Yenko Camaros. I have heard several different answers to this question so I would like to hear from the experts the Holley number and CFM.
Thanks in advance Grant |

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but for `68, the correct carb for an L72 engine would be a Holley list # 4053, which is a 780 cfm unit. I'm not sure which carb(s) were installed when the cars were modified at the dealership. Eric |

Thanks Eric,
That's exactly what I'm looking for! I see you are in the business. Will that be a difficult carb for me to find? Grant |

The `68 dated carbs are usually fairly easy to locate. What date are you looking for? Eric |

I heard somewhere that the 68 L78 COPO Camaros has a different engine suffix becuase they used a dfferent carb and possibly intake. Any truth to this?

The only 2 carbs I know of that were factory installed on HP big blocks in `68 were the 4053 (L72/L78) and 4054 (L88). Outside of those applications, I'm not sure how that might affect an engine suffix code. Eric |

Eric,
Regarding date code: I am not too fussy - just a date code that would have allowed its use on a 68 L72 equipped car. I would even consider one with the "wrong" date code for now to get me going. Thanks Grant Grant |
