NASCAR blows these days (look at the track attendance #'s and TV ratings) It is boring, they all drive the same cars and there are not many "personalities" left in the sport anymore. Start the Trans Am series up again.!

Well said Sully. It should be called the toyota series now.I tried to watch some of the last few races. Makes me sick to see what it has become. They had some rap music or something like it for the introductions. Unreal.

I only watched the last 30 laps. What a waste of my time.
Good cars(?)or drivers getting whacked at the end, can't stand this junk anymore. It was the first NASCAR racing I've watched since Daytona. I'm ready for a major change.

Watch some of the old races from 15-20+ years ago. Not a highlight reel (which many think of), but just a random race. You might be surprised that it isn't the thrill-a-minute, edge-of-your-seat racing that we "remember".

Its a down year as far as racing quality, I think a lot has to do with the teams learning a new car. Not unlike the early 80s when they went to the small car. Attendence is down, TV ratings are up. Might have a little to do with the economy.

Over the last 10 years or so, there have been more close finishes than there were previously. It isnt what it used to be, where only a handful of cars had a realistic shot at winning, and you don't see only a handful of cars on the lead lap like it was many times.

There is still some work to do to improve, but I don't think its as bad as so many cry about.

Why - that would only mean a different headlight decal!
