What is the Maximum Valve lift that will work with Stock #842 Heads??

I have SRP Pistons which have Piston to Valve clearance of about .600........Just wondering what the Max travel would be with Stock Springs........Been eating Pretzels with Mustard on them and I keep getting these wierd thought's.........So.........I need a Camshaft change in the Gold Nova.......LOL...Want something more than stock L-78 ........but ....Still need Vacuum for Power Brakes...

I'd say your springs are gonna be the limiting factor before your clearance...are they sure enough old school original springs, or stock replacements?

What is your compression, head/intake, etc...??
