Donkey Story

The boy rode on the donkey as the old man walked. As they went along they passed some people who remarked it was a shame the old man was walking and the boy was riding, for he was old and the boy was young and strong. The man and the boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions.

Later, they passed some people that remarked "What a shame he makes that little boy walk, how cruel he is to force that boy to walk while he rides". So they then decided that they both would walk!

Soon they passed some more people remarked that they were stupid to walk when they had a perfectly good donkey to ride. Not wanting to look stupid they decided they both would ride the donkey.

Soon after they passed some more people that shamed them by saying how awful they were to put such a load on the donkey, how cruel they were to the poor animal. The boy and the old man not wanting to be looked upon as cruel, decided to carry the donkey. As they carried the donkey they came upon a bridge, as they crossed the bridge they lost their grip on the donkey and it fell into the river and drowned.

The moral of the story?????

If you try to please everyone, you might as well kiss your ass good-bye
