They don't need thousands out there for testing. A new Camaro was seen in Lindsay lately, and that is about 50 miles from Oshawa. It is probably what we call a company car but who knows. Bosses and others get to take this stuff out for drives. I'm not sure about how these arrangements are made, but preproduction vehicles do get out on the road.

What they are doing is creating 2 V6 cars for each dealer. These will not be considered dealer stock but "loaners" to the dealerships from GM. GM wants at least one car at each dealership so customers can test drive them. If GM had made these cars dealer stock, most dealers would have sold them quickly to make a buck. This way, they can't sell them because they are not theirs to sell.
