There is a L-78 Chevelle for sale here in Sweden right now. The owner is asking in the neighbourhood of $30.000 for it (depending on the difference between the dollar and the Swedish krona).
It´s a Kansas-built hardtop with a rustfree body that has been in storage for more than twenty years. The original drivetrain is long gone but he says he has gathered almost every hard to find part for the restoration. I have not seen the car myself but I talked to the owner yesterday. A few years ago I sold him a right-side door that he used on the 1969 SS396 convertible that he is driving. From the factory this hardtop was fathom green with white interior and had a M-22 trans and a 4.10 rear. The original owner in the U.S. sent a letter to the current owner in Sweden years ago telling him about the car. I don´t know if it would be realistic to pay 30 grand for it in Sweden and send it back to the U.S. ![]()
