The application on the instruction sheet shows:

1965-1969 Chrevolet Engines left side 396-427.
Except 1969 with air cond AND air injector reactor (A.I.R.)

I'm still not 100% sure it was suppose to go on so many cars, and not Chevelles, but I think it's a cool addition, so I will be putting it on the Chevelle. It's certainly simple enough to remove, if I learn more aboutnitin the future. Thanks formall the responses. BRs
