Default Re: Project: Hot rodding a 69 Nova

Took the day off to check out Super Chevy/Maple Grove.

This is some of this weeks progress

I blasted the steering wheel with glass beads, to scuff it enough for the paint to stick.

Painted wheel/came out great!

I decided to put the hood grills on the car, much like a 69 Copo Chevelle would have. Lots of careful measuring and remeasuring and more remeasuring, then I got the drill out and did it!!! Thats it for any exterior mods.

I stripped the bottom of the hood, then etch primed and top coated it with satin black.

Got the drive shaft stripped, painted. Then new u-joints and stripes, and installed in the car.

I also got the wheel wells blasted. After a bit of pitting repair from battery acid over the years, they will be primed and painted, hopefully this week.
