Matt
You have learned alot over the past few days about the world of the gen one Camaro. I am an Oldsmobile guy first and all muscle car guy in general. There is a lot of collective experience here on this board. I see you were born in 87 and that makes you the very demographic that needs to carry the torch for this hobby. Don't get cheesed off because a few guys with well over 40 years individual experience called you out and pointed you in the right direction. I have been to a lot of car shows in my life and been on the web for, well since you were born. I have met a lot of the guys and women who contribute vast amounts of info for free that they have accumulated over 45 years. Save up your airfare and get to Chicago in November for MCACN, consider it getting an undergraduate degree in Muscle Car University. You will meet some of the old farts on here and be well prepared to purchase your first gen one Camaro with no surprises. Paul Martin
