A point just in your original post has me thinking. Mark claimed that Dave put together a 377 -- if I still remember my SBC days, that would be a 400 block with a 350 crank (or there abouts). Your post indicates the block is original to the car -- if that is so, I'm wondering if it is in fact a 383 using the original block. I will try and contact Dave Kohler and see if he remembers what he built. We all have slept since then -- LOL Craig
