Cool Carolina Machine Engines

I want a new 383 short block to replace the 302 in my Camaro, so I was doing a little searching on the 'net for one and this one popped up on eBay. Has anyone had any interaction with Carolina Machine Engines? The short block pictured is newer and they said they could build me a similar one from an older block so I can use most of my current parts as I want a short block I can swap the heads, intake, carbs, etc. over to so my car is a little more drivable.

The 302 I have now just doesn't move out until you wind it to the moon and that's just not practical for what I want the car for. I'd also probably do a new cam but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Appreciate any info you can provide.
