Default Nylon nut serts for arm rest screws.

Working on my Opel GT.

Took the door panel off on the driver's door to clean and lube the window mechanisms. Window goes up and down fine now.

The arm rest had been removed years ago, exposing the two nylon nutserts (nut inserts, or whatever you want to call them) to UV, and they both rotted. Just crumbled apart.

Looked to me to be the same as late 60's Chevy cars, so I figured it would be a piece of cake to find some. Not so. Even looked through my boxes of left over parts from building the Z. No luck.

Will go by the body shop supply house tomorrow and see if he has some. Will probably have them by the bag. But... in case he does not.... surely some of you guys have had to replace those nuts.

I can find all kinds of nylon insert type nuts, but none are angled at the approx. 45 degrees like the arm rest nuts.

Any help is appreciated.

Lynn
