Thanks, understandable. I'm still "performance" oriented in my thoughts and that might bias me too.
I went though the "value" thing about 5 years ago on a '66 L79 SD Acadian. Been hidden for 20+yrs. Car is honestly #3.5 so not the greatest shape and rough in places. "Supposed" to have the original motor, but in pieces and has a 350 in car now. Said it was a "go-fast car" so parts and pieces got changed? Needed resto then and not just a paint and polish. He says: "it's rarer then the Chevy II's and there going in the 60/70K range US. I think this has gotta be worth $55,000.00 US". I have been back maybe 3 times. Still has it, go figure. FYI there was a 66 L79 Acadian for sale last fall locally. Was asking $50,000 complete running and nice car.
