I also remember looking at other modded 1969 Camaros at the time in the weekly Auto Trader & Tradin' Times and saving up my money to get one ($3-4,000 seemed like the end of the universe in high school, let alone to spend it on a 20 year old Camaro). Had to settle for my neighbor's wife's 1980 LeSabre instead. I learned never to settle after that.

Great story, and incredibly true lesson I think several of us have learned. I'm hoping this car ends up with a caretaker who wanted a '69 Camaro street machine in their younger days. For whatever reason, it didn't work out then, but now it can...
