It's the "Hurricane" Inline 6 3.0L twin turbo I6.
There will be two variants: A Standard Output version is expected to produce 400+ hp and 450 lb-ft, and is capable of running on 87 octane but premium is recommended. A High Output version is expected to produce 500+ hp and 475 lb-ft, and 91 octane is required. This engine will fit in all of Stellantis's RWD-based models. There are two red flags: These engines are direct injection only. These engines will use PTWA cylinder bore coatings instead of liners. This is likely the design decision that ruined the Gen3 Ford Coyote V8. She is not pretty, but this engine will keep Chrysler from going into chapter again which sadly appears to be the path for another beloved company. ![]() More details: https://www.thedrive.com/news/44895/...ivers-v8-power https://www.autoblog.com/2022/03/25/...i-replacement/ |
