That was what I felt they were expressing too, without actually saying it and offending any of the other vehicles. I remember the stigma of the times about buying a "rambler" product though and being scoffed at because it wasn't something from the big 3...
AMC could change their name and product line, but they couldn't "obliterate" 30-40 years of Muggles memories of their predecessor being a stogy, family sedan, automobile...
