Period correct ?

What would be the standard , eg transmission for a period correct application.
Would a tranny built 14m0nths ago be to long of a time frame. What's the vibe regarding period correct versus matching numbers ?

Eg installing a tranny Turbo 400 from a 400 hp 1969 corvette for a yenko nova LT 1 ?
