I purchased the Deep Water Blue car in May, 1992 from an ad in Hemmings. The car needed total restoration and came with all new NOS exterior sheet metal ready to be installed along with numerous other NOS parts. I am the second owner and the original owner has been able to supply much history on the car. The original dealer order form, window sticker and pro-tecto-plate came with the car. The 67 Z-28 window sticker shown on page 121 of MacNeish's 67-68 Z-28 Fact Book is from my car. The restoration was started in 1996 and completed in 2001. Westover Auto Rebuild, Maple Valley, Washington performed the body and paint work. All other restoration work, except the trunk paint, was done by myself. The Super Car Workshop did the trunk paint. The car had been undercoated when new so the floor pans were mint and did not require replacement. The original engine was replaced (short block) under warranty (with supporting paper work) with all other drive line components remain original to the car.
The car scored 93% in the Diamond judging at the Worldwide Camaro Associations 2000 show, Gold Spinner Award at the 2001 Vettefest and 94% in the Bowtie class at the 2003 American Camaro Association show. I will have the car at the upcoming SCR in Collinsville. Don Stowers ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
