Default Tony Wonch's 69 L78 Chevelle

I had been looking for a 69 SS for a while. A friend of mine told Al Maynard that I was looking for one. Al was going to Carlisle. He said he would check there for me. Al met up with a friend of his, Marco DeCesaris. Marco said he had one he was thinking about selling. He sent me some picture of it. I liked what I saw, so I had Jerry MacNeish go look at the car. MacNeish did an authentication of the car. All numbers matching except the carb , master cylinder, and the water pump. I have since located and bought the correct parts.
The original owner, who I have spoken to many times, worked at the Dealership. He ordered the car.

It has a dealer installed Hurst shifter and passenger side mirror. Dealer also added the lower molding.
When it arrived at the Dealership it was rustproofed with a paint like coating. As I have been removing the rustproofing, I have found the factory paint dabs. Most of them are in good shape. The original paint and stickers were on the front shocks.
I cleaned up and painted some things in the engine compartment. If it had not been rustproofed, I would have left it alone. Everything had been sprayed.
I have the factory wheels for it. The original spare is in the trunk. Never been on the ground.
It was painted in 1999. All original sheet metal, glass, trim.
The tilt wheel, speed minder, and gauge package were added by the third owner.
Car spent most of its life in North Carolina.

Don't mess with old farts - age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill! Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience.
