The "420" code he is referring to is the Inspection Sequence Number found on the IBM card and to my knowledge does not differentiate the car as a 300 post. This code should, however, match between the trim tag and the IBM card. What does differentiate it as a 300 post are the large font numbers (752 3427) typed perpendicular to all of the rest on the left side of the card. The 752 referring to one of the unique-to-300-Chevelle "taxi cab" interiors and the 3427 referring to the 300 post body with its unique characteristics as compared to a Malibu Chevelle.
