Yep, I remember those twist-in aluminum spacers. I put 4 of them in each spring in the '62 (forgot to mention that) Rode like [censored].
The neatest thing about Bill's '55 is that it's STILL old school, rather than "recreated" old school. And the way it was done back then stood above the rest with that aluminum work everywhere!
It is a real time capsule!!!
