Default Help me find the person that built my '72 Buick.

Hey guys,
I've been lurking around on this site for many years but never joined since I don't have a Supercar. I recently joined and thought this might be a good place to ask for help:

A few years ago I purchased this rather unique '72 Buick Skylark Sedan from a well know Buick guy on the Buick bulletin board. He did not know anything about the cars past.

I am trying to find the person that restored it, so I can tell him A) how much I love this car B) ask some general questions about the car, condition prior to the resto, type of paint, ask if there are any pictures of the car being restored, etc

The car looks stock except for the Buick Stage 2 scoop. It previously had a 528 ci Buick motor but now has a much milder 464 Buick (currently runs high 10s on street tires through the mufflers.)

Here's what I do know: At one point it was for sale on the Volo website (first time I ever saw it) and it was previously owned by Dominic Blasco. I contacted him a couple of years ago but he didn't have a name or number for the person that built the car. I have a ton of receipts but nothing with a name on it. It was apparently done in the mid to late 90s by a guy living somewhere in the Chicago area.

I have had more than 1 person tell me that they remember seeing the car at car events in the Chicago area, years ago. One person told me that they thought the builder was a bodyshop owner (which might explain the fantastic black paint).

If you have any info on this car, please post here or shoot me an email directly at [email protected]

Any help you can offer in finding the person that built this car would be appreciated.

Here is the picture from the Volo website many years ago, and also a picture of it in Mr Blasco's garage.

Here are a few pictures of it today.
