Did anyone see Rashad KO Liddell? That was brutal.

Time for Chuck to hang it up??

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes and Yes...his last Tito fight was a joke, but prior to the Rampage fight I saw/read interviews that indicated Chuck was enjoying the night life a little too much, and sure enough it showed up against Rampage, and then Jardine...I'm not sure *WHAT* was wrong with Silva when Chuck defeated him, but the loss to Rashard was no surprise...we always chuckled at his post-fight "shout out" about which club the after party was being held at, but I'm not so sure he hasn't been focusing more on that lately than fighting...

Anyone else looking forward to the upcoming GSP v. BJ Penn fight...

yeah, Chuck collected his checks and should probally fade away (Tito Ortiz, are you listening?). kind of reminds me of Roy Jones Jr. probally the greatest fighter in his prime ever. now he has a still of his nose facing the opposite direction of his face. back on point...
Lesnar probally should stand and trade with Randy. Randy doesnt have knockout power anymore. let this fight get boring and then shoot with the power Lesnar has shown against Mir and Crazyhorse. anyone see that look on Crazyhorses face after he got blasted and saw 260lbs of pure evil charging him with a shoulder?? thats the intimidation Lesnar needs to give Randy.

Urjah looked much flatter in his conditioning than he did against Little Evil. Even thought the weigths were differnet BJ Penn dispatched with Jens with no problem at all yet Jens took Urjah 25 min down the road. I called the Brown fight . I had seen that guy fight before and thought faber looked a little smaller than usual and was concerned because he has been so consistent. Plus the WeC is a small pond. I felt Urjah should have made the Tyson Griffin fight happen . He beat enough guys that he should have wanted to beat the only guy who beat him and he never wanted that fight .Urjah was way too nonchelant in that fight with a guy like Brown. Sure he got caught but not sure the outcome would have been any different . Now we will see the real Urjah in the re match . Torres and Condit are the class of the WEC

Randy has not fought for a while . And Lesner is developing his MMA skills. I think brock is a good athelete so maybe he can make it happen but randy is a great athelete . Remember , Frank Mir , who has never been the same since his accident, just bided his time and submited Brock in his first UFC fight. Brock got 250K for that fight and UFC vet Mir got 45K plus a 40K bonus for the win. Lesnars bonus would have been another 200k had he won... i like randy's experience but if Brock has learned anything in the last six months or so he could make it happen .. this one is a toss up and I wouldn't be surprised by anything.. I kind of think Brock may win though, hope i am wrong

I loved Kimbo geting cooled by a three inch right cross that got dragged across his face by a guy who couldn't get out of the UFC " House' with out gettin beaten...

I am going to have to pull for Couture, After watching such a great sportsman for all of these years, I just can't go for a guy that's only fought twice in the octagon and lost one of them to a mediocre fighter in my opinion, I know Randy was pissed at Dana White for a year because he wanted to fight "Fador" who I believe will cash both Lesnar and Couture when he gets a chance to unify the heavyweight championship, I hope you guys seen Fador cash Tim Silvia "cake walk" if I ever seen one, Urjah was a true sportsman after his loss and he will be back,

I think every great fighter has one great fight left in him. Couture will have to fight a very smart fight and take advantage of what Lesnar gives him.. Couture will choke him out in two...

Who's watching this weekend?

I am planning on it, either in a bar or on the 'net as I found a way to watch it for free....shhhhhh....don't tell Dana.

I remember the first one, when they had to hold it in a high school gym or something like that because the state(Ala?)revoked their lic to hold it at an arena. Royce Gracie fought Art Jimerson(a WBA cruiserweight) who wore a boxing glove on one hand..it was over very quickly and opened a lot of people's eyes to the "valetudo" system. My dad started me in forms when i was seven, and I had been training in Muy Thai and Okinawan disciplines till I saw that fight. I realized immediately that any one style was incomplete, and BJJ (soon to be MMA) was reality. I've had the privilege to grapple with guys like Rickson Gracie and former UFC champ Oleg Taktarov, and am here to tell you it's a humbling experience!
