I installed the one that was in it 10 years ago.....after I removed it, I put a magnet on it and it didn’t stick. He new one is a RAM pilot bushing. I checked the reviews on Summit Racing and they were all good. I put a magnet on it prior to installing it and it too was non magnetic.

I’m really excited and apprehensive at the same time...it’s been since July at the Super Car Reunion that I could really drive the car as that’s when the clutch finally had enough.

I did get the new engine harness installed today after I got a little motivation (aka nap) :-) and my lawn cut.

It took a little bit due to my inexperience. I have to tidy things up when I get it back on the ground but I did try it out temporarily, without the CDI box, and it fired RIGHT up. I didn’t even have to pump it first.......and it idled all on its own (no choke). It’s better than any LS......that’s for sure!

I’ll take a picture of the old wire harness tomorrow......it’s bad and definitely modified.

I have a friend coming over Tuesday to help me install/wire the CDI box and make things look good........among other things........shhhhh......it’s a secret.

Happy Fathers Day to me!!!! After LOTS of frustration, time and money, I finally have the Blue Bomber running good again. All new ignition along with a new ACT clutch. I had a friend help me wire the retro ignition box up Sunday and it runs fantastic!!!! I still have to get a module for my tach to work, adjust my clutch a little and a few other minor things and I should be ready for the big car shows in Ohio and Chicago. Hopefully good enough to race it In Ohio.

I took it out in the country and tested the new clutch and so far, it seems to be what I needed.....it did everything I asked it to do.

Thanks to everyone who helped and gave me ideas for troubleshooting the issues.

Kurt

Here’s a couple pictures of the old harness. There was definitely some modifications made to this harness at some point. I really should have changed it a long time ago.......

Wink Bread...

"I got on YouTube and found out that bread works great......not as messy as grease. So I got my input shaft alignment tool that I bought from Crash at last years MCACN show, pushed bread in the cavity and pounded away....it worked like “sliced bread”.

Whole wheat or rye?
