do those rectanguler holes look home cut? Is the trans cast (pre 1960) or aluminum?

Rectangular holes appear to be factory cast and not cut after. The case is aluminum and it has Powerglide cast into it......
Is there a spot on the case that will have some casting dates or numbers for me to check out? (I'm not that ambitious to clean the whole case looking for numbers).
