WOW! 1967 SS427's are very special cars. You just gotta love that hood. I'm also pretty fond of that '68 Caprice with the Hide-a-way headlights and four speed. I've always had a soft spot for 4-door hardtops where you can roll all the windows down and have all that "openess" around you.

Chris and James, that -67 Chevelle is a Nordic model that was built in Canada, as can be seen on the firewall which is bodycolor. As for the -65 SS trim, I can´t remember the exact reason why they used it. But since they used the L-6 as the base engine (which was also used in the SS Impalas) mabye they wanted it to look different than the US-built/sold cars ? I didn´t scan the whole article and now I can´t find the magazine, so I´m not sure why.
![]() The Canada-built blue car has a blue firewall and the US-built om the right has a black firewall. This blue Nordic SS doesn´t have the base L-6 but rather the upscale 195 hp 283 ![]() ![]() I´m not sure if the car in the article is the same as in my pic, but I think so. Did I mention that all 1967 Chevrolets sold in Sweden by GM Nordiska AB were equipped with disc-brakes ? At least according to ads in the newspapers. ![]()

Cool stuff as usual Anders!.
Always love those '67 SS427 cars...thankfully the special domed hoods have kept the clones away.. That '68 Caprice is cool too...neat w/ the IV Suffix on the tag and who doesn't love hideaways!. Our Canadian SS Chevelles have always been kinda' cool especially when US guys are always surprised to see the factory SB's and no MK1V's.. BB hoods were even an option on these SB cars for part but not all of the 66/67 runs...part of '67 only maybe, I forget?. Even better is our Beaumonts...especially the SD's!!! ![]() ~ Pete
