Sammy...
Some things were done ,"Back in the day" that I never thought were cool, painting anything white on the undercarriage might be one of them

I never did it either Mike on the brake drums or undercarriage BUT may look cool now with my car being Fathom green and checking out some old magazines. Can always repaint the drums easy enough.

I remember when I was a kid talking to a construction worker in my neighborhood who drove in each morning in a GTO. He had painted his Drums red to match his car. He had a torque thrust style wheel and the drums were very visible. I have never seen white though. I remember the guy looked a lot like Steven Tyler from Aerosmith.... The GTO also has glasspacks and shackles and several things hanging from the rear view mirror.. Maybe a squirrel tail or red tail hawk feathers...

According to the factory brochure for a 66 GTO the brake drums were painted red when Rally I's were ordered. So when mine is done it will have red drums.

Take a look at the 1966 Pontiac Performance brochure...

So while it technically won't be 100% correct, don't let me stop you. It will look great with the Rally I's.

Grady and I have been spending some quality time geeting his 67 SS/RS L88 Camaro. First post's about the car are here. Pictures on pg. 2 & 4.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...474&page=1

Since that is the dedicated Yenco forum, any new stuff will go here in honor of the King of day two.
Grady aquired a vintage glass stinger hood for the car, it needed some TLC, but for a hacked up old glass hood it fits up OK now.
The back of the hood had been cut out, and the rear hood hinge attach points were trashed from a previous hack job.
It was fun for this old guy to play in fiberglass and Lacquer paint again.. ...Some shots of the hood.
More on the other freshin up stuff later.

Aha..PPG Lacquer..

Yet to come, engine bay clean up.

Mike

Likewise with Skylarks/GS cars when the road wheels were ordered...
