I saw this one in a gas station in Erwin,TN yesterday, definitely DAY 2:

These old mallory distributors are really cool. I like the way the wires run through the cap. This one has the boss for a cable driven tach.

We all just have to be careful NOT to confuse Day-2 with a race car. Day-2 is modifications to the original parts for a little more performance or parts replacement for looks or performance. Day-2 cars have to be licensed and street driven. This has always been my take on Day-2. Take the dog dish off and replace with mags, take the smog and manifolds off and replace with headers. Add a tach and air shocks etc. Replace the junkie Muncie shifter with a Hurst CP. Depending on your job these modifications could take a year or so. But like I said this is MY take on Day-2.

Ladder bars and straight front axle, probably not really Day 2 due to the extensive fabrication required to build it. It really sounded stout when he fired it up!
