I feel like Don Knotts in the 'Love God' as I didn't catch anything nor have a clue what you guys are talking about much less what a url is and am only bumbling my way along in the computer world like the rest of us 'older' fellas here probably are too?.
One thing I did notice w/ the site changes that I doubt can be fixed is Google searching for old threads here used to be a magical thing but now lands on a dead-end or main page instead of the thread it seems you've found?. For example, Googling something like this w/ the brackets being the Google box ( "yenko.net" copo 9737 unconverted 1968 ) results in an old thread here but when you click on the result it's now a dead-end where w/ the old system it used to work great?. Pete: those old search results will be broken, but those "spiders" and "bots" you see in the Who's Online page are working tirelessly to get their search engines updated...won't take them long!
But until then, when you do find search results via google, click the "cached" link immediately under said google result, and it will bring up a stored copy of the page... |
