My 69 Z11 (Maryland Zone display car) had Speedway Widetreads on it when delivered. The original owner took it on his honeymoon in the Summer of 69 and the car wound up in a lot of the honeymoon photos. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/naughty.gif[/img]

It's my understanding that the pace cars did not start until about March of '69. This would have been the timeframe for the start of Polyglas usage.
'69 Trans Ams came off the line with F70-14 Polyglas.

The festival and press cars started a bit earlier than that actually. Mine was an 02D car built right in the VIN sequence of the COPOs. 610486, if I recall corectly. That must have been a helluva sight, seeing all those cars running down the line at Norwood.
