Default Re: 69 COPO

Ontario has some/not all owner history recorded, other Canadian Provinces have their own systems and ways of doing things so what may be available from any of them may greatly vary?
Around 1980, Ontario transferred their info onto a new computer system so cars that didn't renew their plates then or later may not be in the system at all.
Also, depending on who input the info and when makes a difference too as some clerks included all or part of any past owner info when they entered the info, others some/none.

You were lucky Bruce as your car was probably licensed and on the road after 1980 and/or whoever input the car into the new system took the time to include past info.
Either way, you're right on w/ the owner history paper trail being all important as w/ so many fraudster Canadian cars are out there already, it's sad to say but the default needs to be guilty until proven innocent!
