Yeah, but sometimes rarer doesn't make a difference - do you think Pastel Blue Boss 429s are in such demand over Grabber Blue ones (the latter being a quasi-signature color for these cars)? And the rarity of Lucerne Blue is quite negligible. Perhaps it is due to people's love for Lucy Blue on other Pontiacs that has helped?

In this case the car only came in two colors: white or blue. And it seems that a lot more white ones were built. In addition, a lot more of the white ones survived than blue ones, for some weird reason. Maybe more "adults" bought the white ones back then and treated them better?

Anecdotal, but I know of two 70 Lucy's within driving distance of my front door. Both look like they've been run through a woodchipper, Fargo-style.

As it pertains to 1970-72 Trans Ams, this is not true. It is more than negligible, especially when you consider - as Steve said - survival rates and what is available on the market. Go to google and punch in "1970-1972 Trans Am for sale" - see what comes back. I bet you can find 10-15 white cars in 2 minutes. If I gave you the same amount of time to find 10-15 Blue cars for sale - current ads that are not repeats, for real code 26 cars - you'd be outta time.

In 1970, they built 63 Polar White Ram Air IV Trans Ams. But only 25 Lucerne Blue cars by the way.

I said "pretty but uncommon". Pastel blue doesn't pass that test.
