Yep -- done that on every door spring over the years ... and it works. Had one break over the 67' Vette and I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Simple to fix -- run a 3/16&quot; cable through the center of the spring from one end to the other. Attach each end to the rail frame work with cable clamps.
