The factory opening under the "hump" is quite large...I would estimate larger than the hacked hole in your trans tunnel, but that's subjective. Check the inside driver's subraframe rail...there are three punched holes in a triangular pattern where the back drive bracket would mount. Check these holes closely to see if they've been threaded. Only manual trans cars would have these holes threaded. Not proof-positive, but another potential indicator.
