Oh, that's interesting.....why would they do that? I realize it may have been an R/T thing initially, later to expand for regular Challengers (I think?), but why different? May be a trim/molding issue?

Some trivia that I didn't learn till recently: For the Barracuda A22, the rear panel was painted black like on a 'Cuda. I know this to be true for red cars and can only assume it was true for the other colors that became available. Seems the '71 Challenger had a similar default.
