I think I have this one handled gents. I was considering it too but then pealed back some layers...
VIN seems to match... 11867G158010... 1 = 1961, 18 = impala V8, 67 = 2 door convertible, G = Framingham, Ma Plant, 158010 = production sequence # But I noticed the pad has an "HA" suffix code which is a 348ci/280hp tri-power automatic code, not 4 speed. I came to the conclusion that either the 4 speed is added or the 4 speed is real but the motor isn't original. "HA" is a turbo glide automatic code. Additionally, while being no expert in early pads, the photo provided from the seller shows paint on it and the font doesn't strike me being OEM but I will let those more knowledgable make factual statements. In talking with the owner more, it seems this is a made up car to appear factory correct but not an original example. Dan
