Sam,
Take the time to "stamp" an identifier on it if it has an original tag. Take a photo of it and the rad. Just my .02 cents. You never know......

stamping/etching initals is a good idea and photos...I would also remove the tag so there is no chance of it getting lost...i keep most of my original tags in the file with car info...that way i know where they are.
