That’s not exactly true. Yes Al is costly but he’s the expert. In terms of cost - he only keeps your money if he affirms the component. A service fee of $75 is assessed if a component is deemed OEM or not but the affirmation check is returned if non OEM is found.

When I spoke to Al about affirming my block assembly stamp, he didn't mention returning funds if not affirmed. Seems like a pretty good risk to take - essentially a $75.00 downside risk for the potential of the certification of "born with" components. He told me that he only did Corvettes at that time though - recommended JM for Camaros.
