1967 427-435 orphaned engine
I have been thinking about posting this for many years so here goes. Back in the early 80's I traded for a 67 427-435 engine that was at a body shop 20 miles from my house. I sold that motor a little while later. The person that purchased it was from somewhere in Kentucky and restored and dealt in Corvettes. The guy that picked it up he was driving a one ton Chevrolet roll-back pulling a trailer with a Corvette on each. This man wrote down the vins, convertible and hardtop, this engine could have been installed if I ever ran across the car. I kept those numbers for 20+ years before throwing them away thinking the car was long gone. A few years ago I learned of a 67 that sold and I believe the engine belongs to this car. The car was a block away from my house. It had been in a garage for many years, which I had known of, and had seen setting along the rear wall of that garage. Never thought much about it as I wasn't a Corvette guy. Story was there was something funny with the title. Anyway if anyone has an idea of who in Kentucky may have purchased this engine to I can provide them with the buyer of this cars info. I'm fairly sure the car has since been restored. Thanks

I don't have the vin, discarded it years ago. If I remember correctly it had 1,2,4,and 5's in the last six digits.

Scott, you should x out the last 2 numbers so someone doesn’t try and off load a restamped block on you as you original.

That’s why you never throw anything out. As soon as you do, you’ll find you need it.
Interesting story. Best of luck in your search...
