What ever happened to the 68 RS Yenko Camaro in the Bench Racing section of the 5/88 issue of Super Chevy? Was owned by William Yeater from Cameron, WV back then and had 7402.8 miles on it at the time.

The Ash Gold/Black Vinyl Top ‘68 Yenko Camaro in the newspaper ad sounds breathtaking!

I'm not surprised to see the big difference in build numbers when you look at the price difference between the 427 cars and the Z. 54 to 2 LOL
If I saw those price differences back then I'd go right for a 427 too. |

that ad shows 3 rally green 375HP Camaros with 140 speedo and 5 Corvette Bronze 375HP Camaros with 140 speedo
there were probably more then those eight 1968 COPO 9737 Camaros that went unconverted to 427 Super Camaros the production number of 1968 COPO 9737 Camaros is thought to be about 70 The number of 1968 Yenko 427 Super Camaros built is said to be about 64 The number of 1968 Yenko 427 Super Camaros with AT or AC thought to be built from RPO L34 or L35 Camaros is at least 10 there were also a few early 1968 Yenko 427 Super Camaros built before the COPO 9737 Camaros were available I don't know how good these numbers are because there was not a lot of info found on the 68's but those are the numbers we were working with only two unconverted 1968 COPO 9737 Camaros found so there are probably more out there |
