In reference to the bracket shown resting on the roll of Blue shop towels (spot welded to the lower valence in the center)
There is a painting note in the AIM UPC 11/13 SHEET B6. (MASK BRACKET WHEN PAINTING VALENCE PANEL) Pretty sure the bracket should be black flow coat primer.

I saw that also but at the time the car was painted I couldn't find any evidence of this on survivor cars I observed. Would be easy to do if I could find one known original sample. Do you know of any? Thank you, Joe

Finally got one the items for the car, the melt pad for the trunk. One of our members here was nice enough the send me one he had laying around. Warmed it & the NOS trunk mat up out in the sun for a while & then installed them. Trunk mat was also purchased from one of our members. What a great group of people. One more piece of the puzzle....Joe
