I raced against this car back in 1976 @ Interstate Dragways. I believe that Doug was from the southern Minnesota area and he also had street rods.

Chad, correct me if I am wrong but I believe this is the guy that you bought the original wheels and tires from for the 70 DH Camaro (he was the second owner) and he showed us photos of that car along side a Yellow or Hugger 69 Yenko (stock at that time) he owned at the same time along with a third car which if I recall was a 70 Z28? He owned a trucking company, not a salvage yard. Name just sounds really familiar. I think this is the same car.

Yes. I wish I had known sooner. He had literally THOUSANDS of photos of cars from back in the day. When I contacted someone about them I was told the family had disposed of them not knowing their historic value. I was also incorrect, he in fact owned Doug's Auto and Truck and was indeed a salvage yard. When I Googled the satellite photo of it, that is in fact where Chad and I went and got the wheels and tires.

Skip Nolan bought his salvage yard. His widow Sandy still lives in Arizona.
