So the engine was still coded MO? Did they just remove the smog tubes and plug the holes? Or did they come with different exhaust manifolds? Just curious.

When I got my Z2/8 it already had headers - but from the CRG site it states that the manifold holes had threaded in plugs.. and regular pcv setup on the ds valve cover.
And YES the engine in mine had the MO suffix.. 678 block, it was considered an early 1968 model build Z2/8 with December '67 year block casting and assembly date, with an original 266 'left over GM parts bin' distributor, which there were a few of.. as per JM's Definitive book.. |
