I was in Belleville, Michigan last weekend (picking up a rebuilt TH400) and was treated to snippets of an airshow. The Blue Angels were flying around out of Willow Run.
My host, btw, was totally chill about the whole thing. He said "yeah - they've been practicing all week, so we are pretty immune by now".
What's funny is that same thing happened to me in Arizona. Williams Field AFB was right across Ellsworth Road from the GM Desert Proving Ground. When it was time for the annual "Willie Field Days" we would climb onto the roof of the building and watch the Blue Angels practice for the week prior.
