The 396/425 L78 was available in Corvette & Full Size Chevrolet’s in 1965. Silver car has correct emblem placement, red car does not.

Here is a REAL '65 L78 M22 4.56 BelAir that I have known since new. It's accounted for in Colvin's Chevrolet by the numbers. OO has the W/S, ordered it in Feb '65, took delivery in June. His son is a member here.

I thought it was listed as 375hp in all cars except the corvette? Chevy didn’t want any other car to have equal or more horsepower than it’s flagship?

Mark, you’re correct. The 396/425hp was optional in the impala.
