So - basically like playing around with a home or RV water heater, or furnace.

Not to minimize what happened to Jay, but in an attempt to add some levity to an otherwise serious news item:
I do catch myself on fire with some regularity. Typically it is as I am trying to get my propane heater going in the back garage, if it conks out as I try to get it to relight it will "phoof" a little fireball. I typically don't notice until I come back in the house and the ladies look at me funny, then I realize my eyebrows or the hair of my beard will be singed on one side of my face. I came in one time and they had drawn a clock on the chalkboard that said "Days since Dad Has Caught Himself on Fire", set to "zero". K

Got my engine builder one time, too.
We were in Atlanta and tuning up a new engine and combination. He was leaning over the carb and motioned for me to crank it and when I did it backfired up from the carb. Singed his hair and eyebrow pretty good. He was really excited to show me his new helmet at the next event:

So - back to being serious - I think we all know that these cars can be tricky, especially when dealing with fuel but also in the garage environment itself.
You know the drill; Let's all be careful out there. K

I'm sorry - I know it shouldn't always be about the cars, but - I am reminded that President Taft motorized his presidential fleet and that one of the cars he had was a 1909 White Steamer:
