The wheel hop was a 67 issue due to the non staggered shocks. 68 and up models don’t really have the wheel hop.

Thanks (rsconv68) I think I will try the mono leaf springs on the 12 bolt ! New springs are expensive and I'm taking a chance the ride height won't be where I like the single leaf spring . Do have to add spacers on top and bottom of the spring to fill in the multi leaf perch on the 12 bolt . Looking for a comfortable ride . The single leaf spring should be good for that !

I wouldn't add any spacers to the top, the center bolt is there to seat in the cushion, which seats in the perch, to prevent the axle from sliding on the spring.
Urethane cushions will help take up some of that room, as they don't squish out like chinese rubber.

Energy Suspension makes them, and there may be others. $40 on ebay.
